Aspiring Zanu PF Glenview North candidate Tumelo Zamanga popularly known as Boss Tumelo has assured his constituency that his charity work will continue even after the election.
The youthfull candidate has over the years been paying school fess for the less privileged through his Tumelo Foundation
Addressing a rally in Highfields said that
“Win or no win we will continue with our charity work, the foundation is not used to gunner votes but it has always been there, it is our way of giving back to the community after the good Lord has blessed us with the little we have”
“we started this foundation in 2010 with my wife and we were paying for 10 kids only but over the years the foundation has grown and now give scholarships to over 750 children in Highfields from primary to university level, our wish is to extend it to other parts of the constituency” said the energetic candidate
Addressing the same rally the Director of Tumelo Foundation Norman warned the other running mate of using the foundation beneficiaries to gain political ground
“it is unfortunate that there are people who are trying to play dirty, our opponent has been moving around the schools in Highfiled s were we pay school fees for a number of children demanding to see the proof of payment for this term, I don’t know whom he met at one of the schools who was overzealous and ended up sending the kids home”
“we have never had a late payment, we always pay in full before the term starts and that has been our tradition since we started the foundation, its unfortunate kids had to catch strays in this race but we have since rectified the matter no child will be sent home again, all proof of payments are now with the school heads” said Norman
Although the foundation is a personal project the candidate says that its in line with the President Emmerson Munangagwa’s 2030 vision
“the current form fours that we are taking to school at the moment by the year 2030, some of them will be Teachers, Doctors and Engineers this is in line with the Presidents vision 2030, can you imagine what this country will be like then, our opponents should stop trying to kick innocent souls out of school” said Tumelo
The thirty one year old, is running against the Mamba who has had a ruff time in gunning the seat for the last
