La Casa, a newly established lounge and restaurant situated in Chisipite hosted an exclusive food tasting event which was set to introduce the new joint to the food lifestyle fanatics in the capital.

The event’s menu themed African Elite provided guests with a variety of foods from different parts of Africa.

Speaking at the event, La Casa’s executive chef, Tanaka Nyashanu, indicated that the new establishment is aiming to provide an experience which is unique to what is already available for locals who value exclusive dinning.

“We are excited to introduce some of our signature dishes which will be served from Monday 11 November 2021. The menu is unique to La Casa, and we have crafted it to create an international food experience for our guests”, said Tanaka.

The Michelin-trained chef with stints in Italy and France was also introduced as the

Star fm’s Dj Mox & Capitalk fm’s Jeffrey Murimbechi hosted the event which was attended by high-ranking businesspeople and social influencers who appreciated the exotic food experience being introduced by La Casa.

The menu included West African foods such as jollof rice, char grilled turkey, egusi among many others.

The restaurant will commence serving lunches with immediate effect, before officially launching the other services available.

“We also have exclusive private hosting facilities which are themed according to different popular cities across the world such as Ibiza, Bogota, Havana and Santiago. However, these will only be available after our official opening ceremony sometime in December. All our lead staff members have international experience, and we look forward to sharing their experience with the customers”, added Tanaka.

Following the relaxation of the lockdown restrictions, restaurants and bars have seen an influx of people who seem to always be on the lookout for new experiences.
