Zimbabwe Rugby Union names Sables Squad heading to Stellenbosch

The Zimbabwe Sables Squad is heading to Stellenbosch where they will face other giants for the November Quadrangular series in South Africa.

The Team Management confirmed the following as part of the squad.

 (Forwards) -Tyron Fagan,Dean Makoni,Royal Mwale,George Saungweme,Tapiwa Tsomondo,Cleopas Kundiona,Sean Beevor,Biselele Tshamala, Godfrey Muzanargeo,Aiden Burnett,Tonderai Chiwabutsa,Charlse Gamhiwa,Lawrance  Cleminson,Godwin Mamgenje,Victor Mapunga.

(Backs)-Hilton Mudariki, Dudlee White-Sharpley, Keith Chiwara, Boyd Rouse, Takudza Chieza , Darrel Makwashi, Takudzwa Kumadiro, Riaan O’Neill, Brandon Mudzekenyedzi, Shingirai Katsvere, Martin Mangono, Tapiwa Mafura.

Zimbabwe’s Sables will use this tournament as an opportunity to prepare for the Rugby Africa Cup 2022 which is set to be held in France.

The Quadrangular test series will be hosted at Stellenbosch Academy of Sports from the 12th to the 21st of November.

Teams that will face the Sables squad are:

  1. Namibia who are ranked number 25.
  2. Brazil and Kenya are respectively ranked 26   and 35.

And the hosts South Africa.

The format of play will be semi-first on the 14th and the finals on the 20th of November.

Jason Maritz said, they are looking to secure all the international players ahead of the games and is hoping they can get most of their players cleared to travel to SA from their different International bases.
