ZERA Announces Fuel Price Adjustments

Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has announced revisions to fuel prices, effective from April 5th to May 5th, 2024, for both local currency and US dollar transactions.

According to the statement released by ZERA, the local currency prices for Diesel 50 have increased from ZWL$26,086.51 per litre to ZWL$44,325.83, while Blend (E10) has risen from ZWL$25,933.19 per litre to ZWL$44,689.53.

In US dollar terms, Diesel 50 now stands at US$1.68 per litre, slightly lower than the previous month’s US$1.69, while Blend (E10) is priced at US$1.69, up from US$1.68.

ZERA emphasized that these prices are applicable for the month of April 2024, based on M-1, and will remain in effect until May 5th, 2024. The authority also reminded both the public and operators that the blending ratio remains at E10.

Operators have the flexibility to sell petroleum products below the prescribed prices, depending on their trading advantages. However, they are required to prominently display prices in accordance with fuel pricing regulations.

Furthermore, the blending ratio for E10 has been revised from E5, as announced in the previous month. It’s important to note that blending of fuel is exclusively conducted by licensed blenders who comply with ZERA regulations and standards.
