Survivor partners with Cancer Foundation Launch

Zimbabwean businesswoman and cancer survivor based in the UK Sheila Bvuure-Gaynor has partnered with the establishment of the Caro Foundation which focuses on supporting cancer patients in Zimbabwe.

According to a press statement released on her behalf by Hubert Sithole, Sheila’s inspiration to support the cause came from her fight with the ailment.

“In 2019, Sheila was diagnosed with cancer but through grit and determination she battled through winning the admiration of consultants and nurses at the Macmillan Centre.”

The event is expected to be held in the Capital this week, “Sheila’s Original Rum Punch is excited to announce that it has now partnered with Team Caro Foundation on the upcoming event organized by the latter, in Harare on the 23rd of April 2020.” said Bvuure.

Mrs. Gaynor is the founder and CEO of Sheila’s Rum Punch, a beverage company that has served the market for years now and the fight with cancer did not discourage her from pushing her business.

“Although her treatment is ongoing, Sheila has continued to run her business at times from her hospital bed” read part of the statement.

Caro Foundation which was founded in the United Kingdom in 2015 has served and supported cancer patients in the United Kingdom and beyond.

It is now extending its operations to Zimbabwe and is set to be launched in Harare on the 23rd of April.

The foundation supports cancer patients and their families to understand their journey with cancer, by providing support to reduce isolation, poverty, and debt and improve understanding of the treatment journey including processing difficult news.
