UPDATE: AMH Journalist Blessed Mhlanga who was arrested earlier today for assaulting a police officer in Waterfalls, has been released in custody of his lawyer Chris Mhike of MISA Zimbabwe.
Mhlanga will appear in court on thursday.
The reporter posted on his twitter account minutes after his release saying
“My lawyer @ChrisMhike fought a good fight, been released. Will now appear in court Thursday accused of assaulting a police officer. I don’t know how a camera can assault a person. I am the one with broken teeth, bruised wrists having been beaten by the police. @misazimbabwe“
