Movement For Democratic Change candidates have accused its leader Douglas Mwonzora of sabotaging the March 2023 election

In Leaked messages from Harare Central aspiring candidate Norest Marara’s social media group “social media warriors”, he complained of not receiving any funds from the political party

“our campaign is yet to receive any form of candidate support.it gets heavy at times” said Marara

In response to the candidate cries Major B Kitchen accused the party leadership of sabotaging the only campaign that will determine the party’s political fate 

“If we are saying these elections are crucial as a party for our survival in the political game, why can’t we be using our proceeds from the national grant to fund all candidates so they can campaign smoothly it’s better to prioritize that more than anything else”

“at the end of the day you will hear that the funds just vanished into thin air, while there is nothing tangible done on the ground,” said the disgruntled Major

“This election is going to determine our political future so at the end of the day we need to invest more in it, they should at least give candidates something” he added

Mwonzora received ZWL$149 850 000 as Government political Fund from the treasury last year and has only managed to have two poorly attend rallies in Highfields and Bulawayo
