A firm and its director were taken before Harare Magistrates Courts after he reportedly defrauded it out of US$28 000 by selling its stands unlawfully.

The company had been hired by a real estate to handle marketing on their behalf.

One of the directors of Kudamp Investments, Mathuthu (29), trading as Future Properties, is the second accused party, while Kudamp Investments, represented by Mpilo Mathuthu, is the first accused party.

He was accused of fraud when he appeared before Harare Magistrate Mr. Dennis Mangosi.

He was placed under arrest on remand until he applied for bail.

High Range Resourses Pvt Ltd, the complaint, is represented by Dunia Shahari.

According to the State, Mathuthu approached Shahari at some point in June 2023 to request permission to market the latter’s residential stands, which go by the names Victoria Range in Masvingo, Makonde Heights in Chinhoyi, and Boronica Chiedza Park in Manyame-Beatrice.

Given the task of marketing, Mathuthu was expected to direct clients to the complaint in exchange for a five percent commission.-ZiMetro
