Nehemiah Mutendi behind No vaccination, No church policy ?

The Government on Wednesday announced that churches could now open to vaccinated congregants only in a bid to boost the inoculation program.

According to close sources in the Cabinet, Leader of the Zion Christian Church Nehemiah Mutendi advocated for the no vaccination no church policy.

Speaking at a Post Cabinet Media briefing, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services Monica Mutsvangwa said Cabinet had agreed to open churches

“Churches can now allow sit in congregants under the following conditions..

Only congregants who have received two doses of the vaccine are allowed to attend”

Many Pastors, especially those leading Pentecostal churches were preaching the anti vaccine gospel and seem to be the target of this inoculation drive although some are reported to have been buying the vaccine certificates so that they can get back to church.

The government said that people who will be found in breach will be arrested, leaving the leaders with no option than getting vaccinated.

“Those found in breach will be arrested including the leader of the church” said Mutsvangwa

President Emmerson Mnangangwa is a regular to Mbugo ZCC in Masvingo and claims that they are cousins with the leader the Zion Christian Church.

They both have relatives in Masvingo and Mutendi is one of the key organizers of Mnangagwa’s national day of prayer and fasting.

This comes after Prophet Makandiwa made a U-turn on the vaccination program, encouraging his followers to now get vaccinated.
