According to Inspector Mahoko, the argument between Ndlovu and Ncube quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. Ncube, in a fit of rage, retrieved a knife from his pocket and stabbed Ndlovu once in the neck, causing him to lose consciousness. Despite efforts to save him, Ndlovu succumbed to his injuries upon admission to Nkayi Hospital.

Following the stabbing, Ncube fled the scene, leaving behind a shocked community and grieving family members. The police have launched a manhunt for Ncube and are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to his arrest.

In response to the incident, Inspector Mahoko issued a plea for peaceful conflict resolution, urging members of the public to avoid resorting to violence in disputes.
