Brother kill brother over change

HARARE-A 42-year-old Rugare man Paul Goba is facing allegations of murdering his blood brother Antony Goba over a change which his brother had refused to give back.
BY TRACY MAZHURA
Goba appeared before the Harare Magistrate Tafadzwa Miti and is charged with murder as defined in section 47 of the criminal code chapter 9:23.
The incident took place on the first of December 2021 and the victim died on the 5th of December 2021
According to the court papers, the two engaged in an argument that led them into a brawl.
Antony was overpowered and knocked off. He was rushed to Parirenyatwa Hospital where he later died on the fifth of December
The accused person was denied bail as the State argued that, he was a flight risk and was likely to tamper with evidence
“The accused person is likely to interfere with evidence or witnesses since they are his relatives and reside at the same address,” according to the court papers
Zimbabwe Republic Police is on the record of urging the citizens to solve their disputes amicably and it is sad that this incident took place at a time when the nation was spreading the message of putting an end to gender-based violence on all the corners of the country.
Goba will appear in court on 22 January 2022.
