Obert Masaraure and 15 other teachers under the Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe who were arrested on Wednesday for demanding better salaries at NSSA are likely to spend the weekend in behind bars.
They appeared before Harare magistrate this afternoon and their case has been stood down to 2;30pm for bail application.
If the application is made this afternoon, it is highly doubtful if the judgment is going to be handed down the same day.
They are being charged of participating in a gathering with intention to promote public violence, bigotry & breaches of peace as defined in Section 37(1)(a) of Criminal Code.
